Rilakkuma Meet & Greet Event Code of Conduct

MINISO at The Market Place OC


To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming experience for all guests, attendees must follow the guidelines below when participating in the Rilakkuma Meet & Greet event.

General Conduct

  • Guests must behave in a respectful and orderly manner at all times.

  • Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior toward staff, other guests, or the mascot will not be tolerated.

  • MINISO USA reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual who violates these guidelines without warning or compensation.

  • In case of emergency, follow staff instructions and proceed to the nearest exit.

Queue & Participation

  • Guests must follow all instructions provided by store staff and event personnel.

  • Please remain in designated line areas and do not block store entrances, exits, or walkways.

  • Cutting in line, holding places for others, or forming unauthorized lines is not permitted.

  • Each guest or group will be allotted a limited time for interaction.

Safety & Physical Interaction

  • For the safety of guests and staff, please do not push, run, or engage in rough behavior.

  • Guests must not touch, pull, or handle the mascot costume or performer in an aggressive or unsafe manner.

  • Physical contact with the mascot is off limits.

Photography & Media

  • Guests are welcome to take photos during their designated interaction time.

  • By participating in the event, guests consent to being photographed or recorded by MINISO USA and its partners for marketing and promotional purposes, unless they opt out at the time of participation.

  • Unauthorized commercial photography, videography, or livestreaming is not permitted without prior written approval.

  • If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify event staff upon arrival.

  • Please be mindful of other guests when taking personal photos or videos.

Children & Supervision

  • Children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

  • Parents or guardians are responsible for the behavior and safety of minors in their care.

Health & Safety

  • Guests who are feeling unwell are encouraged not to participate.

  • Please practice good hygiene and be considerate of others' personal space.

  • MINISO USA may implement additional health and safety measures as required by local regulations or store policies.

  • Guests acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and/or communicable diseases exists in any public place where people are present. By participating in the Event, Guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and/or other communicable diseases. Guests agree to comply with the health policies and rules, including, but not limited to, all social distancing policies, guidelines, signage, and instructions related to COVID-19 and/or communicable diseases.

Personal Belongings

  • Guests are responsible for their personal items.

  • MINISO USA is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.

Event Changes & Availability

  • The Rilakkuma mascot will be making an appearance on Saturday, April 25 between 10 AM – 4 PM.

  • Event schedules, mascot appearance times, and participation availability are subject to change without prior notice.

  • Participation is first come, first served and may be limited based on time, capacity, or operational considerations.

Compliance

  • This code of conduct shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.

  • Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in removal from the event and/or store of premises.

  • By attending, guests agree to abide by all event rules, store policies, and applicable laws.

  • By attending the event, guests release and hold harmless MINISO USA, Aliquantum International and San-X and their respective affiliates from any liability from their participation in this event to the fullest extent permitted by the law.

  • MINISO USA reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the event or its terms at any time without prior notice.

  • Guest agrees that if the Guest breaks, defaces, damages, or destroys any real or personal property or software, or hurts or injures another person, in connection with the Guest's participation in the Event, including but not limited to the property of MINISO, the Event Products, or any marketing materials, the Guest shall be solely and personally liable and responsible for paying any and all costs to repair or replace such property, provide care for such persons, and compensate for any incidental or consequential damages relating to the damaged property or personal injury. 

  • MINISO, Aliquantum International and San-X shall not be liable or responsible to the other party, or be deemed to have defaulted under or breached this Terms, for any failure or delay in fulfilling or performing any term of this Terms, when and to the extent such failure or delay is caused by or results from acts beyond the impacted party’s (“Impacted Party”) reasonable control, including, without limitation, the following force majeure events (“Force Majeure Events”): (a) acts of God; (b) flood, fire, earthquake or explosion; (c) war, invasion, hostilities (whether war is declared or not), terrorist threats or acts, riot or other civil unrest; (d) government order, law, or action; (e) embargoes or blockades in effect on or after the date of this Agreement; (f) national or regional emergency; (g) strikes, labor stoppages, or slowdowns or other industrial disturbances; (h) telecommunication breakdowns, power outages or shortages, lack of warehouse or storage space, inadequate transportation services, or inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials; (i) other similar events beyond the reasonable control of the Impacted Party. The Impacted Party shall use diligent efforts to end the failure or delay and ensure the effects of such Force Majeure Event are minimized. The Impacted Party shall resume the performance of its obligations as soon as reasonably practicable after the removal of the cause.  

  • GENERAL ASSUMPTION OF RISK. Guests agree that the participation in the Event is voluntary. GUEST UNDERSTANDS THAT THE EVENT AND SOME ACTIVITIES AT THE EVENT MAY HAVE INHERENT RISKS AND DANGERS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ACTS OF TERRORISM, DEATH, INJURY AND SERIOUS BODILY HARM TO THE PERSON AND/OR PROPERTY.  GUEST AGREES THAT AS A CONDITION OF THE ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT AND/OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY ACTIVITY AT THE EVENT, THE GUEST ASSUME AND ACCEPT ALL RISKS OF HARM, LOSS, OR INJURY TO THE GUEST’S PERSON OR PROPERTY THAT MAY ARISE FROM OR BE RELATED TO THE GUEST' ATTENDANCE AND/OR PARTICIPATION IN SUCH ACTIVITY. 

  • CLASS ACTION WAIVER. BY ATTENDING THIS EVENT, GUESTS AGREE TO WAIVE THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION AGAINST MINISO, ALIQUANTUM INTERNATIONAL ADN SAN-X, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, PARENT COMPANIES, SUBSIDIARIES, AND PARTNERS. ANY DISPUTES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THIS EVENT MUST BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS THROUGH BINDING ARBITRATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. 

  • GUESTS AGREE TO THESE TERMS OF THIS PARTICIPATION AND LIABILITY RELEASE AND WAIVER, AND ATTEND THE EVENT VOLUNTARILY, OF GUESTS’ OWN FREE WILL AND FREE OF PRESSURE, DURESS, OR THREAT OF DURESS. GUESTS HAVE READ THESE ENTIRE TERMS OF THE CODE OF CONDUCT CAREFULLY. GUESTS UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT BY ACCEPTING THESE TERMS AND LIABILITY RELEASE AND WAIVER, GUESTS HAVE GIVEN UP CONSIDERABLE FUTURE LEGAL RIGHTS. GUESTS’ ATTENDANCE OF THE EVENT IS PROOF THAT THE GUESTS INTEND AND AGREE TO BE FULLY BOUND BY A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY OF THE RELEASED PARTIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.
